Cactus Care

Cactus Care

Light: Cacti prefer bright light and good ventilation. Place in direct sunlight or a sunny area. Direct artificial lighting, such as a cool white fluorescent bulb, can be used for at least 14-16 hours per day.

Water: Cacti should be watered every 2 weeks in the summer and every month in the winter, or if the soil is dry. Water cacti at the bottom (using a syringe is recommended) as spraying cacti can spread bacteria or cause root rot. 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water (depending on size of container) should be used. Avoid overwatering.
